Haakon Rashad Miknas


After graduation Haakon got a job at the world’s largest advertising agency. He is now helping Qatar to get ready for the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

After growing up in Lebanon, Haakon was ready for new experiences. The choice quickly fell on Norway and BI’s Bachelor of Business Administration programme.

BI has always been one of the best business schools in Scandinavia. After talking to my friends and family BI became an obvious choice.

As a student Haakon never stopped searching for new challenges. This resulted in an exchange semester in Ljubljana, Slovenia and active participation in the student union.

Arabian adventure
Haakon has colleagues from the UK, South Africa, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, India, Pakistan, and the United States. Together they are responsible for some of the world’s most famous brands. Haakon works closely with Ford Motors and their regional headquarters in Dubai to conduct both local and regional marketing campaigns.

- I create Ford’s marketing campaigns from start to finish. Together we develop the campaign’s communication objectives, target segments and create creative solutions.

World-class clients
As an employee of the world’s largest advertising agency Haakon is a part worldwide projects.

Among his clients is Aspire Logistics who owns Doha Sports City, an important part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Haakon’s responsibility is to attract sports federations and profession sports teams to host their matches and tournaments in Doha Sports City.

Success powered by education
Despite woking almost 5000 km away from where he gratuated, Haakon still relies on his education every day.

- Without my education from BI I would not be able to succeed at my job. Each day demands that I’m able to master a wide range of skills. I daily use my accounting, project management and marketing skills. All of which I’ve learned at BI.
